An 18th century (circa 1780-1800) lead tobacco jar and lid, of octagonal form, the cover finial in the form of a Blackamoor. (possibly made in Liverpool).

The jar and lid have decorative scrolling motifs.The lead is in remarkably good condition for its age, with the usual antique lead patina. Overall the condition can be described as "good". 

Dimensions: 5.5" long - 4" ddep - 5.5" high.
