19h C. woolwork / silkwork needlepoint tapestry framed in an original maple frame featuring a Scottish regiment piper playing the bagpipes. Circa 1840-1860
He is wearying the piper's diced band and plumes on his bonnet.
The tapestry is in excellent condition, no loose weave, tears, holes etc. with good strong colours and features a striking cerise coloured border which sets the piece off well. I has its original maple frame and backing, the frame has small damage to one corner, but this does not distract.
