Rhythm Bones - Whalebone - musical instrument, sailor, nautical, English, c1900s
For sale here is set of Rhythm Bones from the late 18th or 19th Century. Made from whalebone by an English seafarer during the period of large-scale commercial whaling.
They are approximately 5 1/2 in length - a typical length for seaman crafted bones and are are typical curved.
They come with a small display stand. Their condition is commensurate with their age - please see photos for condition.
