Traditional still life paintings

I follow the traditions of still-life painting with a semi-abstract and modernist sensibility, focusing on the placement and interplay of shapes and forms emphasised by surrounding flat planes of colour.

A recurring theme for my still life paintings is the kitchen table (especially a country/farmhouse kitchen table) with tablecloth, mugs and cups, jugs, fruit bowls, fruit, vases, flowers etc. often inspired by the farmhouse kitchen i call home in Norfolk.
