Old abandoned wooden working boats were a common sight on Britain's coastal saltmarshes & mudflats after the war when GF boats took over. This painting is a homage to one of my favourite artists Eric Ravillous (1903-1941) - in particular his watercolour & pencil drawing titled "saltmarsh".
